OverviewGranger High School Head Football Coach - Licensed Teacher (1.0 FTE) for the 2026-27 School Year. Applicant must either have a current Utah Secondary teaching license, a current out-of-state license, or must already have at least a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university AND have already been approved for an Associate Educator License (AEL) through the Utah State Board of Education.
All coaches must complete online Concussion Training and bring a printed certificate prior to serving as a coach. The web address for this training is
Position begins with the 2026-27 school year. All applicants must be officially graduated prior to the start date; an official copy of the teaching license and degree will be required upon hire.
Responsibilities- Head Football coach responsibilities, including coaching at the high school level and related duties as documented on the resume and in the application materials.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction as applicable to licensure and coaching responsibilities.
- Engage in effective communication with parents, students, and staff; participate in faculty meetings and school activities as required.
- Maintain and support a positive learning environment, including student health and safety in classroom and athletic settings.
- Administer appropriate student attendance and assessment procedures consistent with district guidelines.
- Football coaching experience required; high school level preferred. Head coaching experience preferred. Related coaching experience must be documented on the resume to be considered.
- ESL endorsement preferred.
- Must be willing to be the head Football coach and to fulfill the responsibilities of the position beginning in 2026-27.
- All candidates must have (or be eligible for) a Utah Professional Educator License in the relevant licensure area and endorsements, with a bachelor’s degree required for required licensure paths.
- Must pass a Utah State Board of Education approved cleared criminal background check.
- Upload required documents depending on licensure situation: current state license for applicable applicants; degree conferral letter and AEL eligibility notice if applicable; or license and degree upon hire.
- New graduates should upload a university conferral letter on official letterhead including: degree earned, anticipated graduation date, and license/endorsement type and content area.
- New graduates who have not yet received an official teaching license should upload a conferral letter in place of the license.
