Utah Community Action is excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Teacher position in the Salt Lake area. This role offers a competitive wage of $20.89/hour and is a year-round, full-time position with a 40-hour-per-week schedule, typically from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm.
We provide a strong benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) with a $2,500 match. Our 401(k) plan offers a 5% match, and we also provide disability coverage, accident insurance, and life insurance. Position SummaryAs an Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate effectively with your classroom team to deliver high-quality services to children and families. You will be responsible for the safety, supervision, and engaging activities of preschool-age children assigned to your care.
Required Education, Experience, or Licenses- Preschool CDA
- One year of related experience in a classroom setting
- Valid driver's license
- Two years of related experience
- Previous Head Start experience
- Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA
