Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

Typical day — responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
• Know the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and in your area, to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
• Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit to Target
• Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain how to use Target App features (including Wallet) and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering as needed
• Handle returns by following policies and seek support from leadership when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies as needed
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as Order Pick Up, Drive Up, DU Returns and comply with applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• Staying focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks

Additional expectations

• Accurately handle checkout operations and assist with cash office tasks as needed
• Safely handle and move merchandise, with occasional lifting up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance
• Be mobile for the duration of a shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions for duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
