Overview
The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Meadows team that works in a supportive residential environment for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities located in a community based group home.
Your RoleYour role as a Registered Behavior Technician:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of a Clinical Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities- Support staff with training of person-centered plans
- Conduct interviews and direct observations with individuals and support staff
- Using data collected from the homes to assist the BCBA organize data used to update Medication Treatment Plans (PMTP) data and target behaviors
- Conduct and implement skills assessments on individuals to develop person centered goals to increase skill competence and independence
- Provide support and guidance for residential homes and Community Based Day Supports (CBDS) to increase and develop meaningful activities at home and in the community. Assist CBDS program with effective mentoring and training in life skills (e.g. job coaching, interviewing, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED and Certificate as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Massachusetts required OR will obtain RBT certification within 6 months of employment
- Five years’ experience in the field of disability services
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for work purposes
