Description
This contract position is an on-site role that presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within the medical practice industry.
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and contribute to ongoing medical projects.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Analyze and interpret imaging results to provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological technology
- Contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state
- Completion of residency in Radiology
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of radiology software and imaging technologies
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient
Patient Population:
Pediatric through geriatric
Required Procedures:
Stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasound biopsies, breast localization procedures, mammo and ultrasound-guided biopsies
Team Structure: 6 additional radiologists + full complement support staff

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
