Retail Scan Associate; West Sacramento, CA

Overview

This is a permanent PART-TIME role. Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).

We are hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Our store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. We work with major brand retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and other national chains, as well as small independent retailers. Retail Scan Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.

• Perform in-store data collection by scanning product barcodes in assigned stores and locations, including displays and aisle end caps.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store weekly; adherence to deadlines is critical.
• Provide quantity data for approximately 45% of scanned products when requested by clients.
• Contribute to Custom Projects as needed, which may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per week per store.
• Meet weekly deadlines and maintain dependability and quality-driven action.

  Monday or Tuesday

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach up to 6 feet, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Reliable Wi-Fi access.
• Tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
