We are growing and in need of a Plant Operator III for our VSS Emultech facility.

Our Seasonal Operator II is an Intermediate-level operator responsible for manufacturing of emulsified and binder products; loading and unloading of emulsified products, hot asphalt chemicals and related supplies. Operate and understand all plant equipment.
Operator III ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:- Manufacturing of emulsified asphalt product.
- Manufacturing of asphalt binders
- Loading and unloading of emulsified asphalt and binder trucks, tack pots and spreader trucks.
- Unloading chemical and supply trucks.
- Operate all boilers, heaters, oxidizers and any other plant equipment
- Collection of products samples.
- Basic housekeeping duties (cleaning up litter, spilled products, bathrooms and offices).
- Sweeping building interiors.
- Proper tool cleaning and storage.
- Sampling and testing of asphalt and emulsified asphalt product to meet ALL DOT and AASHTO specifications.
- Basic written recordkeeping.
- Daily Tank level readings.
- Daily paperwork.
- Holding safety meetings and training classes.
- Adherence to all environmental, health and safety rules, policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Hands-on experience with plant operations
- 5 + years of experience in the road surfacing industry, emulsion plants and asphalt terminal experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current state automobile driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, potentially for work-related travel.
