Position: ENTERTAINMENT AV TECHNICIAN

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the incumbent assists in the operational functions of the Hard Rock Entertainment Department including set up and tear down of events property wide, set-up, assembly, and disassembly of all equipment, scenery, wardrobes, instruments and tools necessary for the preparation of professional shows and performances. Assist in day-to-day operations of department to ensure it functions properly.

Responsibilities
  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Follow Production policies and procedures related to the Entertainment Department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Assists in implementing event operating plans for Hard Rock Live, Hard Rock Café, and other areas assigned.
  • Operates electric motors, hydraulic motors, follow spots, lighting control boards, sound mixing consoles, microphones, equalizers, and other entertainment technical equipment.
  • Assembles and disassembles trusses for lighting shows, soft goods, scenery, drops, curtains, etc.
  • Assembles sets and stages, including related light and sound components.
  • Load-in prior to shows and performances and load-out following shows and performances including equipment, instruments, wardrobe, tools, etc.
  • Repairs and maintains lighting, sound, and fly systems, drops, soft goods, stage and stage floor, musical instruments, etc., to avoid delay or cancellation of performances due to malfunctioning equipment.
  • Adjusts and maintains Vibe system, music volumes around the property, and playlist integrity.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrates actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Promotes positive public and employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to all Enterprise Rancheria Gaming Commission regulations.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or trade school certificate and a minimum of three (3) years of event/concert production experience performing similar duties required or a combination of education and experience.
  • Requires well developed written and verbal communications skills.
  • Friendly and service oriented.
  • Able to work in isolation for a full shift.
  • Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Able to work any shift.

Additional Requirements (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Enterprise Rancheria Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Knowledge Of:

  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of work experience in event/concert production.
  • Ability to read and understand all Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain policies and procedures.
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

Ability To:

  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Additional Details

The Tribal Council gives first preference in all of its employment practices to members of the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe who meet the job requirements.
