Certifications WA state Nursing license and ESA certificate

Compensation Starting at $43/hour (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a School Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide healthcare services, promote wellness, and support the well-being of students in school settings.

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health conditions, including medication administration, wound care, catheterization, and tube feeding.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings, monitor vital signs, and address health concerns and emergencies.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans and accommodations for students with special health needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders, nursing protocols, and school policies, ensuring accurate documentation and safety.
• Educate students, families, and school staff on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions; provide training and support as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, medication logs, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, and social workers to support students  mental health and emotional well-being as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Bachelor s or Associate s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers
• Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
