The current CBA going to Council on Feb 3 rd , anticipated pay increase for both positions.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington driver’s license (or ability to obtain)
  • Extensive background, polygraph, physical and psychological exam
  • Additional requirements may be established by the Civil Service Commission
  • Medical insurance paid at 100% for employee and 90% for family members
  • Dental and vision paid at 100% for employee and family
  • HRA Veba monthly contribution: $125/$250/$750
  • 88 hours of holiday cashed-out annually plus time and a half on worked holidays
  • 4% match into 401 retirement account
  • Take home vehicle
  • Ongoing training and education

Entry Level: You must apply through Public Safety Testing

As part of this testing process you will be required to complete a personal history statement, (PHI) Failure to return your completed PHI will result in disqualification from the hiring process. Make sure to attach photocopies of your driver's license, social security card, and DD214 (if applicable). The Release of Information forms must be notarized. Oral board testing will be done by Command Staff on a regular basis.
