Bus Driver -CDL - PT After School; DeGeorge

The Bus Driver is responsible for transporting club members to and from the club in a safe manner and maintaining company vehicles. This position is 20 Hours weekly between the hours of 1:00pm
-6:00pm.

• Operates bus on a prescribed route by picking up or leaving off members at designated locations; follows established signaling and safety procedures.
• Instructs members in the safe and proper methods of boarding and departing from the bus.
• Monitors operating condition of the bus on a continual basis and reports needed servicing and/or repairs. Keeps the bus free of litter and trash.
• Prepares accident and special reports as needed.
• Attends training programs, testing programs, first aid courses, refresher courses and other meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain daily vehicle log and stay on established routes and schedules.
• Complies with State laws, rules and regulations and Boys & Girls Club policies relative to transportation.
• Conducts oneself in the best interest of the members.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Internal:
  Maintain contact with Club program staff and Director
• External:
  Maintain contact with members and parents as needed; provide advice and/or discipline

• Valid Florida CDL Class B license with passenger and air brake endorsement and “S” endorsement
• Experience driving bus preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass required physical examination
• No convictions for moving violations as verified through the Florida Division of Motor Vehicles in the three (3) continuous years preceding the date of application for position
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle various routes
• Ability to read maps and make relevant independent determinations with respect to routes
• Demonstrated ability to work with youth
