Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a hands‑on Senior Software Engineer to help drive feature delivery and continuous improvement across our platform. This is a true full‑stack role requiring strong proficiency in both Ruby on Rails and React (Next.js + Type Script).

You’ll own features end‑to‑end, improve system performance and reliability, and contribute to modernizing and enhancing our AI‑enabled development workflows. We value engineers who move quickly, prioritize impact, and continuously reduce friction in development and delivery.

This role reports directly to the CTO and is deeply embedded in day‑to‑day execution.

• Own feature delivery end‑to‑end: clarify requirements, implement solutions, test thoroughly, and ship to production.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Build scalable, maintainable frontend applications using React, Next.js, and Type Script.
• Design and optimize Graph
  
  QL queries and integrations.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to architectural consistency across the stack.
• Reduce cycle time through automation, tooling improvements, and workflow enhancements.
• Contribute to and build upon our AI‑assisted development workflows, identifying incremental improvements that enhance productivity and code quality.
• Stay current with modern full‑stack best practices and apply them pragmatically.
• Maintain strong testing standards using RSpec (backend) and Jest (frontend).
• Collaborate closely with engineering peers to deliver high‑quality work with fast turnaround.

• 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong production experience in Ruby on Rails.
• Strong production experience in React + Type Script, ideally with Next.js.
• Experience working with Graph
  
  QL in production systems.
• Familiarity with scalable infrastructure patterns using Redis, Resque, AWS.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization across frontend and backend.
• Experience working in CI/CD environments with modern development workflows.
• Strong testing mindset (RSpec, Jest).
• Experience using AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to move fluidly between frontend and backend work based on team priorities.
• Practical, execution‑focused problem solver.
