The Role
The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of the facility and mobile equipment.
Position Responsibilities- Hydraulic systems repair and diagnostics.
- Regenerative system repair and diagnostics (exhaust).
- Air brake system repair and diagnostics.
- Good work ethic, self‑motivation, honesty, and efficiency.
- Work order completion, safe work permit accuracy. OTJ performance review.
- Use of electronic/computer diagnostic tools for efficiency.
- Adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years diesel vehicle and/or heavy equipment maintenance experience, or two years of mechanical trade school training and two years’ experience as a vehicle and heavy equipment mechanic.
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as front‑end loader and tractor/trailer for diagnostic purposes.
- Specialization in clutch work or hydraulics a plus.
- Current valid driver’s license required; CDL license is a plus.
- ASE or Diesel certifications preferred in relevant areas.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Qualification to wear a full‑face respirator.
- Consistently work in various weather conditions.
- Monday to Thursday – 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Tuesday to Friday – 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Wednesday to Saturday – 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Monday to Thursday – 2:00 pm to 12:30 am (then off 5 days in a row before repeat).
