Drywall Foreman

Lotspeich Co. of FL, Inc. is seeking qualified Drywall Foremen in the South Florida area.

Position Requirements :

* Minimum of three years' experience in the Installation and Supervision of Metal Framing & Drywall

* Managing field staff to ensure quality and productivity on projects

* Adherence to and responsibility for company safety program

* Ability to read blueprints (ability to Layout preferred, but not required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Must be able to read/understand blueprints and the job field kit.

* Foreman must be able to coordinate with other trades and the GC in order to maintain the project schedule.

* Must be able to build and maintain project labor to complete project schedule

* Must be able to lay out the project

* Order necessary materials from purchasing agent.

* Hold necessary/required on-site meetings with subcontractors and in-house labor.

* Keep all necessary job records required by Lotspeich and the customer.

* Must be able to verify quantities and hours for labor payment.

* Have a working relationship with other foremen / superintends of the customer and subcontractors.

* Must be able to document the changes and send field RFI's.

* Must be resourceful and self-reliant to overcome job site obstacles.

* Have OSHA certification for using equipment (boom and scissor lift) or tools.

* Must be a "competent person" for the purpose of inspecting scaffolds (OSHA certified).

* Must have taken the OSHA 10-hour safety course.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises field employees in the Interior Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
