Shop Diesel Truck & Bus Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY

CAMFS is hiring a Shop Diesel Truck & Bus Mechanic to support growth. Shop Diesel Technician II will perform DOT inspections, prevent maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and more advanced repairs under Sr Supervisor.

• Follow safe operating practices.
• Determine parts needed; interact with Shop Parts.
• Maintain clean safe work space; assist cleanup end of day.
• Apply learned knowledge; evaluate technical info.
• Work with Service Writer to assess customers needs; provide info; resolve issues.
• Manage multiple tasks; prioritize work.
• Act with integrity; keep commitments; protect confidential info; follow ethical standards.
• Do scheduled PM, DOT inspections, repeat repairs on light, Medium, Heavy vehicles in shop.
• Routine M.O. e.g. change oil, check batteries, Lubricate gear.
• Use hand, Precision, Diesel, Weld, Lift, Jack.
• Document work per RO;
  Upload photo of work; parts used; alt.
• Fill Dot forms;
  Doc all other docs timely.
• Reach high productivity; work Near s. Repair Times.
• Communicate With Manag Apprw Est im;

• Perform all work inc safety, Health, Env pol, Fed regs; OSHA, EPA, DOT.

• Assist Shop diesel I.

• High School or GED preferred.
• Provide own hand tools.
• 3 yr exper as Diesel Tech on Medium Heavy veh repair or eq.
• Bus maint prefer.
• Particip all train.
