Position: Hospital/Institutional Customer Representative - West Palm Beach, FL

Job Description

We are looking for a Hospital / Institutional Customer Representative to join our Hospital Customer Team. The role focuses on understanding Health Care Provider (HCP) customer needs, supporting pull-through activities and demonstrating value and better health outcomes to healthcare professionals and patients.

Primary Activities
  • Communicates product benefits in a way that is meaningful and relevant to each customer.
  • Engages in informed discussions about products with HCP customers, knowing when and how to provide additional information.
  • Act as primary point of contact for selected customer accounts, meeting key customers to understand practice structure, business model and key influencers.
  • Coordinate with customer team to develop customer strategy, outlining interactions and solutions for key customers.
  • Partners with National Account Executives to maintain focus on Managed Care pull-through.
  • Shares learning and best practices from one customer to help other customers meet their needs.
  • Demonstrates focus on better health outcomes beyond acquisition, considering the HCP and patient experience.
  • Provides input into resource allocation decisions across customers.
  • Identifies programs and services available in the library of company resources to address customer needs.
  • Works with solutions group and/or Medical Account Executive to develop and deliver relevant offerings that address customer needs.
  • Maintains current understanding of practice structure, business model and key influencers, making information available to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with extended customer team to ensure consistent customer experience across divisions and functional areas.
  • Excels in all competency areas:
    Account Management;
    External Market Focus; 1:1 Customer Interactions.
  • Influences beyond specific geography or product area.
  • Implements approved resources, programs and messages to address customer and company needs.
  • Create awareness of approved Inpatient Hospital Letters of Participation with eligible customers.
Territory Information
  • Field-based sales role responsible for covering West Palm Beach, FL territory including but not limited to Melbourne to Delray Beach.
  • May also include surrounding towns, suburbs, and other nearby communities.
  • Travel depends on needs of territory and selected candidate location.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 6 years equivalent experience in professional sales, marketing, military or healthcare/scientific field not related to sales.
Required
  • Prior experience working in a scientific field or healthcare environment.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Prior experience developing new business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Experience establishing new customer relationships.
  • Understanding of company products and therapeutic areas.
  • Consistent performer in most competency areas.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
  • Prior consulting or customer service experience.
  • Experience developing and executing a plan for engaging customers and meeting customer needs.
  • Understanding of headquarters operations.
  • Ability to analyze metrics to assess progress against objectives.
  • Hospital/Institutional sales experience.
