Your Role

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 7 - 10 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Responsibilities

You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (e.g., grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers). The merchandising role comprises three major components:

  • Day-to-day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device provided by Hallmark. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, complete required merchandising surveys, and provide feedback. Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Seasonal demand drives additional days and extended hours around holidays. You may be required to work on holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including weekends.
  • Department Resets: May participate in installations and resets, such as building/installing fixtures, relocating cards and products, and remodeling. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance for remodels, which could include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: You are part of Hallmark’s field network and may support other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role requiring high energy. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, and must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • You're at least 18 years of age.
  • You can read, write, and understand English.
  • You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital handheld device to access documents and information.
  • You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between stores as scheduled.
