Merchandiser Travel Retail Ser Lead is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively leading a team and performing reset and remodel work, including the proper implementation of plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activity. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, quick learner, has a strong attention to detail, and works well in a team or independent situation.
They must possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with business partners.
- Serve as a team lead in the organization and execution of reset and remodel work. Effectively partner with store personnel for scheduling and communication.
- Read and follow a plan‑o‑gram to complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology.
- Partner with store personnel and co‑workers to achieve merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build effective relationships.
- Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel work.
- Perform job safely and demonstrate full awareness of surroundings. Use proper safety techniques and equipment. Report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Understand and follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Some experience may be substituted for some of the above education.
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience with authority to direct and/or oversee employees’ daily work activities.
- 3+ years of Customer Service experience preferred.
- Prior sales agent, retail and reset responsibility experience preferred. Possess excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to build relationships with business partners.
- Comfortable utilizing technology (smartphones, computer, copier/fax, handheld devices).
- Quality Commitment – maintain quality standards meeting/exceeding expectations.
- Detail Oriented – ensure work accuracy.
- Customer Service – provide a level of service to customer concerns.
- Communication Skills – effective communication.
- Effective use of web‑based applications for scheduling, work assignments, documentation, mileage, expenses, time and attendance, and training.
- Willingness to work in cold environmental conditions for limited periods.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision‑making and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods.
- Travel required, with overnight stays up to 75‑100% of the time. Occasional weekend work required.
- Minimum 21 years of age to comply with travel program.
