ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As a General Merchandise Expert, a typical day will likely include the following responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assisting them with needs
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
• Execute pricing changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and maintain inventory accuracy as directed
• Learn how procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with policies including adult beverage laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environment while performing duties
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
