Join to apply for the Cook role at Morse Life Health System, Inc.
Works with kitchen team to prepare and plate three quality meals daily.
Primary Functions- Maintains a safe and sanitary department according to established rules and regulations
- Assist in receiving in-coming supplies, examines supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications and assists with storage
- Check menu for upcoming meals to assure all necessary ingredients are available Removes frozen meat and poultry items from freezer allowing adequate time for safe thawing
- Reviews and develops recipes based on type of food to be prepared according to therapeutic diets. Follows standardized menus and recipes
- Cooks or otherwise prepares food according to recipe following the laws of kosher cooking
- Reports equipment needs and supplies needed to the Director
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
