Position SummaryThe Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Critical Care areas and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all Critical Care service line staff. She/he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation:
- Required:
Associate Degree - Preferred: BSN
Experience:
- 2-3 yrs RN experience in Critical Care
License:
- REGISTERED NURSE
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- PALS
- ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- NIH STROKE (within 60 days of hire/transfer effective date)
- TNCC (WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER)
- Maintains Clinical Expertise
- Organizes Patient Care Activities
- Directs and Organizes Staff development
- Maintains Accountability to Administrative team
- Demonstrates Leadership Skills
