Responsibilities- Deliver and evaluate nursing care to designated cardiovascular patients under the direction of the Director or designee.
- Act as a team leader and facilitator, communicating with other health team members.
- Monitor patients closely for complications and administer medications, including moderate sedation.
- Document procedures and may circulate or scrub into procedures.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families, providing age-, culture-, and condition‑appropriate education.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
- Precept student nurses and new hires as needed.
- Work independently in a fast‑paced, critical‑care environment, taking call for emergent procedures with a 30‑minute arrival requirement.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures and perform all other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
- At least one year of nursing in a critical care setting (e.g., ICU, ED, Trauma).
- Preferred:
Three years of critical care experience. - Preferred:
Prior experience in procedural areas (e.g., Cath/IR/EP/Neuro).
