Pay: $17.00‑$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Sun & Mon OFF)

As a Housekeeper/Janitor, you’ll be responsible for cleaning projects requiring advanced training and demonstrated skill. You will inspect work performed in assigned building(s) and submit reports to the Supervisor. Positions may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both.

• Perform a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Inform the Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintain all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning.
• Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to use.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ensure proper levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspect all assigned areas daily and report discrepancies to the Supervisor.
• Adhere to security and safety procedures at all times.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Clean restrooms: sweep and mop floors, refill dispensers, clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and counters, empty trash, and report any deficiencies.

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
• Crawl in tight spaces; ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
• Walk and climb stairs; handle and manipulate objects and equipment.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Navigate property/building quickly and easily.
• Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
