Paralegal
We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team.
Litigation experience is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures and hands-on experience supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. This role requires precision, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Draft, prepare, and manage court pleadings
, motions, and other litigation documents in compliance with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. - Draft discovery requests and responses
, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. - File legal documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. - Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including trial preparation, discovery, depositions, and hearings.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategy and trial preparation.
- Organize and maintain litigation files, evidence, and case management systems.
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery materials.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy, formatting, and compliance with court rules.
- Provide administrative support including calendaring deadlines, scheduling hearings, and coordinating with courts and opposing counsel.
- Serve as a professional and compassionate point of contact for clients throughout the litigation process.
- Minimum of 3 years of Paralegal experience in a litigation-focused law firm (required).
- Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure (required).
- Experience drafting discovery requests and responses (required).
- Experience preparing and managing court pleadings (required).
- Proficiency with the Florida Courts E-Filing System (required).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and document management skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
- Client-focused mindset with professionalism and discretion.
- Personal injury litigation experience.
- Trial preparation and courtroom support experience.
