Network Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in West Palm Beach, FL
. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Cisco routing/switching, SD‑WAN, firewalls, racking/stacking, migrations, and enterprise‑grade network operations.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Perform hands‑on racking, stacking, cabling, and configuration of Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Lead network hardware upgrades for Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto platforms, including IOS/XE and EOS updates.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, along with VLANs, STP, and Layer‑2 technologies.
• Support SD‑WAN deployments, centralized management tools, and related configuration tasks.
• Use monitoring and diagnostic tools including Net Scout, Cisco DNAC, Net Flow, and SNMP for proactive network analysis.
• Deploy automation through Ansible and similar frameworks for configuration consistency and upgrade management.
• Provision VLANs, switch ports, routing updates, and firewall policy changes as part of Work Order fulfillment.
• Document network configurations, upgrade plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• 5+ years of hands‑on Cisco routing and switching experience (Required).
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS‑XE, Arista EOS, SD‑WAN platforms, and firewall ecosystems.
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience supporting ruggedized network equipment in field/industrial environments (Preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for WAN/LAN, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
• Proficiency with Net Flow, Syslog, SNMP‑based monitoring.
• Ability to manage upgrade projects, plan maintenance windows, and execute complex network changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Certifications such as CCNP, Arista ACE, CWNA, or SD‑WAN vendor certifications preferred.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
