Position Details
Rate: Starting at $40/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime only

What You’ll DoAs an Occupational Therapist (OT), you’ll play an essential role in helping children achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
- Deliver occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes.
- Develop and implement a personalized Plan of Care, coordinating with nurses and healthcare staff.
- Administer therapeutic techniques to meet developmental and functional goals.
- Maintain open communication with families, team members, and physicians to ensure quality, consistent care.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices.
- Act as a resource and mentor for clinical staff.
- Supervise COTAs and HHAs as required.
- Participate in case conferences, in-services, and team meetings to support collaborative care.
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Florida OT license.
- Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards.
- One (1) year of recent experience in acute care or rehabilitation.
- Pediatric experience highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Compassionate communicator with outstanding organization and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reposition patients safely.
- Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods.
- Strong visual and hearing acuity.
- Able to respond effectively to emergency situations both physically and mentally.
- Function comfortably in a variety of center-based environments.
- May involve exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive space for every child and family.
