Medical Assistant - Part Time

Position

Medical Assistant – Part Time at MD Now Urgent Care. This position is incentive eligible and requires flexibility to work Monday–Sunday, 8 am–8 pm.

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
• Set up exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with patient transfers and scheduling follow‑up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners.
• Travel or float between MD Now locations within the assigned area (preferred).

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting (preferred).
• Experience using an EHR system (very helpful).
• Graduate of an accredited medical‑assistant program or completed an approved program (BOTP) – required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful.
• Ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start (preferred).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Certification, work experience in lieu of degree, or vocational school graduate.
