Tax Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar
• Experience with Tax software (CCH WK, Pro System Tax, Engagement, Fixed Asset software)
• Experience managing 2-4 tax staff at one time (Tax Software: access and engagement)

• Master's in taxation or LLM
• ASC 740, ASC 740-10

My client in the professional services industry, is looking for a management-level tax individual to oversee complex tax engagements and serve as a primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate closely with Partners on planning and compliance matters. It is crucial that this person is a generalist within tax and can handle/has experience in all types of tax returns, preferably coming from a Regional firm background.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, managing day-to-day client relationships
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, and high-net-worth individuals
• Perform and review tax research and apply findings to client situations
• Identify and implement tax planning and tax-saving strategies
• Collaborate closely with Tax Partners on complex client matters
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
• Escalate technical or compliance issues to appropriate leadership as needed
