Responsibilities
The Analyst / Associate will focus on all aspects of real estate acquisitions and development including financial analysis and modeling, site acquisition, due diligence, zoning, legal document review, budgeting, construction and design. The Associate will prepare detailed financial analyses and models, provide key takeaways to business units, corporate finance, and senior management, and explain variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
- Assisting the project manager in site acquisition, financing, governmental approvals, design and construction monitoring, project branding, sales and marketing strategy and implementation.
- Conduct market assessments, site assessments, zoning assessments, and due diligence related to site acquisition and development feasibility.
- Underwrite new development deals, prepare business plans, annual operating plans, financial forecasts, strategic plans, and product introduction financial plans.
- Author internal and external correspondence for transactions, offering memoranda, asset sales and capital raisings, and responses to RFPs. Manage municipal filings for tax abatements and financing applications.
- Experience in real estate financial modeling from areas such as corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, real estate investment sales, or debt platforms.
- Strong quantitative skills and financial modeling; MS Excel required.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization for a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple projects.
- Attention to detail, strong desire to grow and succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must work well independently and in groups.
- Passion for real estate, strong entrepreneurial mind, and work ethic.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred); 1‑5+ years in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, private equity or real estate.
