Electrical Engineer – Lockheed Martin, Riviera Beach, FL
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced electrical systems used in undersea platforms. Our team designs and builds a range of submersible vehicles—including ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles), and manned submersibles—for defense‑focused subsea applications.
OverviewIn this role, you will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept through production and integration, engaging in hands‑on testing, electrical analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges related to distributed I/O architectures, RF systems, fiber‑optic interconnects, power distribution, and remote test station equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Research, design, develop, and test electrical components, assemblies, and systems for subsea platforms.
- Create and interpret engineering drawings and support documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Perform electrical analyses, hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
- Support production builds, system integration, and verification activities across engineering disciplines.
- Resolve design and operational issues related to distributed I/O, RF subsystems, power distribution, and fiber optic interfaces.
- Participate in the development and testing of electrical networks, equipment, and facilities used in subsea environments.
- Prepare formal documentation including schematics, test procedures, test reports, and configuration updates.
- 5+ years engineering experience
- Circuit design — 1+ year (Required)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with electronic assembly and electrical testing
- PSpice or similar circuit simulation software
- Oscilloscope
- Experience with distributed I/O architectures
- Familiarity with RF systems
- Exposure to remote test stations and automated test equipment
- Understanding of fiber‑optic interconnects or subsea communication systems
- Experience working on multidisciplinary integration and test teams
This is a Contract position based out of Riviera Beach, FL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
