Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer / In-Building Broadband

Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33401

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

In the office/field 3-4 days a week, and remote 1-2 days per week

Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in in-building broadband network design, site surveys, and installation coordination. This role supports multi-tenant residential and commercial properties and requires both technical proficiency and field execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and install equipment used to transmit broadband data over in-building networks.
• Perform site surveys of multi-dwelling/multi-tenant buildings to assess broadband deployment feasibility.
• Work hands-on with coax, twisted pair copper, fiber optic cabling, and switching equipment.
• Identify and assess CATV provider termination points (terminals, pedestals, etc.).
• Coordinate installation of new in-building network infrastructure and related equipment.
• Create simple technical designs/layouts to illustrate proposed installations.
• Manage broadband build projects, ensuring timely planning and execution.
• Produce technical documentation supporting build feasibility and deployment recommendations.
• Provide operational support to local field engineering and sales teams.
• Schedule site visits and coordinate with property owners or building management.
• Follow general work area hazard identification and safety practices.
• Access rooftops and secured telecom enclosures when required.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in telecom or broadband network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of in-building network architecture design and installation.
• Hands-on experience with coax, fiber, Ethernet, and CATV termination points.
• Experience performing site surveys in multi-tenant buildings (MDU/MTU).
• Ability to generate simple network layout designs and supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with general field safety and hazard prevention practices.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with property owners or clients.
• Comfortable working on ladders and accessing rooftops when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Google Suite and mobility-based applications.
• Prior customer-facing or frontline support experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year) required OR equivalent field experience in telecom/broadband engineering.
