RS AMT Team Lead A&P in GAC Palm Beach
Unique Skills: This is an Avionics Install Team Lead position for first shift. Experience Installing avionics systems upgrades and modifications on Gulfstream aircraft is required.
Leadership: Plans, schedules, and completes tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule. Manage and delegate tasks to technicians. Ensure completion of tasks within allotted time. Mentor and train team members in associated work assignments and contribute to the development of employee technical skills and knowledge. Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time aircraft delivery. Monitor and check accomplished work to ensure it meets regulatory requirements, quality standards and is defect free prior to final inspection.
Possess the ability to move to new tasks with only a minimal, short-term impact to established goal hours and schedule.
Technical Skills: Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and other technical data. Install and route wire harnesses, perform basic terminations (crimp and solder), perform advanced terminations (Quadrex/Coax) and assemble/dis-assemble connectors. Perform ring outs, resistance, and voltage checks. Proficient in electrical and avionics systems troubleshooting. Perform avionics system operational checks and return to service checks on newly installed avionics electrical systems.
Experience using various avionics test equipment such as IFR 6000, IFR 4000 and air data test equipment. Advanced knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems (Navigation, Communications, Integrated Modular Avionics).
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 10 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 4 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required.
Position Purpose
:
Plan and coordinate various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Provide work directions to technicians performing aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting and repair duties.
