As our Project Engineer, you will manage forensic engineering assignments, perform forensic engineering assessments, provide verbal/written reports for insurance carriers, attorneys, homeowners, property managers, etc. This requires travel to job sites and other m2e office locations and geographic regions.

• Technical project execution, including applying sound engineering judgment and a deep understanding of governing codes, design guidelines, and industry practices; collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams across m2e as the civil engineering subject‑matter expert (SME); leveraging your expertise for a variety of civil/structural projects, including the investigation, design, analysis, repair, and renovation of new and existing structures, construction materials, loading conditions, and construction types;
  
  preparing technically excellent client deliverables; providing high‑quality reviews and oversight of work by others; and performing and training others in hands‑on field work.
• Project management, including client development, project scoping, assembling and managing appropriate project teams, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and managing client expectations and deliverables.
• Contributions to civil infrastructure practice and company‑wide objectives, including collaborating with other m2e colleagues for in‑house knowledge‑sharing and training initiatives; and engaging in meaningful involvement in industry‑related professional organizations, conferences, and technical committees.
• Plans and execute multiple forensic investigation projects simultaneously, tracking and delivering them on time and within budget.
• Leads group of project engineers, engineering consultants and technicians, exercising considerable independence in decision making process.
• In some instances, act as the Engineer of Record in the preparation of construction plans, design improvement, specifications and timetable activities, and overall construction of projects. Most of the time, the design is for repairs or restoration.
• Oversees, directs, and executes the acquisition of field data in a systematic or organized manner for analysis.
• Develops and recommends standard operating procedures and performance standards utilized by the team.
• Monitors operations and activities in the field to help assure standard operating procedures are followed and performance standards are met.
• Reviews project documentation and reports prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness.
• Handles requests for information, service or complaints or makes referrals to appropriate staff in a timely and concerned manner that reflects an effort to resolve any arising issues while at the same time acting responsibly on behalf of m2e.
