- Develop and implement strategies to recruit students from the inner-city community, aligning with the school's mission and values
- Guide families through the enrollment process, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience
- Conduct outreach to local churches, community centers, and organizations to promote the school
- Manage all aspects of the Step Up for Students scholarship program, including application processing, renewals, portal, and compliance
- Assist families in navigating the Step Up for Students portal, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely submission of required documentation
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to families regarding scholarships status
- Provide guidance and advocacy to ensure families access appropriate services to support their child's educational and developmental needs
- Oversees and processes all student records, including report cards, progress reports, and any academic-related reporting
- Maintain all student files in conjunction with the Assistant to the Principal
- Oversee School Management System (Jupiter Ed)
- Serve as a permanent member of the PTO, collaborating with parents and staff to plan events, address concerns, and strengthen community ties
- Facilitate communication between the PTO and school administration to align initiatives with school goals
- Build relationships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to create a network of support for families
- Represent the school at community events, promoting its mission and values
- Maintains confidentiality of all student and personnel information
- Attend program-related meetings/conferences/workshops
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
A related Associate or 4-year degree or equivalent experience; experience with youth programming design & implementation a plus; full-time 40-hrs weekly nonexempt position. Applicant needs to have an understanding that Urban Youth Impact is a faith-based organization.
