In support of the university’s mission and objectives, the Assistant Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services assists with ensuring the academic success and eligibility of student-athletes while upholding NCAA eligibility standards. This position tracks student-athletes' academic progress, conducts eligibility reviews, and provides academic planning support throughout the academic year, including preseason and postseason eligibility audits. This role partners with relevant constituent groups and individuals, including academic counselors, faculty, disability support services, and coaches to enhance the academic success of student-athletes.
AcademicPlanning and Support
- Tracks progress towards degree of over 300 student-athletes.
- Provides support to student-athletes, as needed.
- Works collaboratively with relevant constituent groups and individuals, including academic counselors, faculty, disability support services, and coaches to enhance the academic success of student-athletes.
- Assists in the evaluation of student-athlete transcripts, ensuring compliance with NCAA eligibility requirements for both incoming and current athletes.
- Conducts preseason and postseason eligibility audits, ensuring that all student-athletes meet NCAA academic standards and are eligible for competition.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of NCAA and Sunshine State Conference (SSC) regulations and guidelines to ensure that all compliance activities align with current rules.
- Serves as an ex-officio member of the Athletics Compliance Committee.
- Assists with the planning and facilitation of SAAC meeting and events.
- Provides administrative support to SAAC meetings, including coordination of schedules, taking meeting notes, and distributing agendas and follow-up materials.
- Acts as a liaison between the athletics senior administrative team, other campus departments, and external constituents ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Assists with other compliance-related tasks and departmental initiatives as assigned, supporting the overall success of the Athletics Department.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in education, athletic administration, business administration, or other related field, required.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of experience working in collegiate athletic compliance, Registrar’s Office, or other related position. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and proven ability to apply them to athletics.
