The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine physician to join our dedicated team caring for Americas Veterans. This position offers the unique opportunity to practice advanced critical care and pulmonary medicine in a collaborative, academic-minded environment while contributing to education, quality improvement, and patient safety. all while enjoying no state income tax and the exceptional lifestyle of coastal South Florida.
- Responsibilities include:
- ICU evaluations/consults, daily rounding, and ICU orders
- Procedures: central lines, intubation, bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracentesis
- Coordination of multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment plans
- Pulmonary & Critical Care consultations for ICU and inpatient services
- Performance and documentation of procedures within granted privileges
- Teaching residents/students and supporting ICU education activities
- Participation in quality, safety, policy development, and ICU committee work
- Engagement in quality assurance and chart review activities

Qualifications:
- Board Certification with ongoing Maintenance of Certification (MOC) in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is required
- Board Certification with ongoing MOC in additional Pulmonary subspecialties, Sleep Medicine, and/or Internal Medicine is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical practice and/or clinical leadership in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine required; 10 years preferred
- Prior VA leadership experience (Section Chief, Service Chief, Associate/Deputy Chief of Staff, or Chief of Staff) is preferred but not required
