Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Follow up on pathology results for all GI biopsies performed and ensure communication of results to patients.

• Perform admission, work-up, diagnosis, and non-surgical treatment, including consultation for patients admitted or requiring care for general medical problems.

• Provide collaborative care for liver and pancreas transplant patients, including timely submission of required referral documentation.

• Conduct history and physical examinations, develop care plans, and obtain consent for GI endoscopy procedures.

• Perform Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) procedures.

• Operate or direct the operation of fluoroscopic equipment for medical procedures.

• Actively participate in teaching residents and medical students, including leading Noon Conferences for didactic training.

• Participate in educational programs for GI and physician personnel, including a minimum of one Medical Grand Rounds presentation annually.
