Estimator - FDOT/Public Utilities OR Road Construction
Location: West Palm Beach, FL

What You’ll Be Doing:- Estimating FDOT civil and public utility projects from front to back
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs
- Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and municipalities to validate scope and pricing
- Reading and interpreting FDOT specs, standards, and utility plans
- Building estimates you can defend — with clarity, detail, and confidence
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating (utility focus)
- Strong command of FDOT/municipal specs, bid procedures, and pay items
- Experience estimating storm, sewer, water, lift stations, force mains
- Proficiency preferred in software:
Bid2
Win/HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, Heavy Bid, Agtek - Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven
- Prefer local candidates or those relocating specifically to West Palm Beach; this is an on-site role
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating with a focus on utilities
- Knowledge of FDOT specs, standards, and bid procedures
- Proficiency in estimating software (Bid2
Win/HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, Heavy Bid, Agtek) - Strong communication, organization, and detail orientation
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, PTO.
