Salary Range: $16.50-$18.00

We are seeking a Special Needs Classroom Assistant to join our dedicated education team. This role is perfect for someone with a compassionate spirit, strong work ethic, and a desire to make a meaningful difference every single day.
AboutThe Role
As a Special Needs Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with special educators and therapists to support students in both their learning and daily care. You will provide one‑on‑one and small‑group support, assist with classroom activities, and help students with personal care needs in a respectful, nurturing environment.
This position is hands‑on, active, and deeply rewarding. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) background is a plus but not required

- Support classroom instruction and help implement lesson plans and goals
- Provide one‑on‑one and small group behavioral and instructional support
- Assist students with daily living needs including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
- Help create a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Participate in program activities including CPR and First Aid training
- Support transportation needs, including riding on bus routes and driving agency vehicles as scheduled
- Assist with snack and meal times, including preparation and clean‑up
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports
- Uphold confidentiality and follow all organizational policies and procedures
- Contribute to extended day programming by helping plan engaging daily activities
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently when needed
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to student care
- Ability to pass background checks and meet a drug‑free workplace requirement
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and assist students as required
