Accounting Manager

Our client is a growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team, manage financial reporting, and help drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100k - $125k

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will oversee full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has prior public accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and can manage a small accounting team while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

* Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations and staff.

* Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports.

* Perform general ledger reconciliations and oversee journal entries.

* Lead month-end and year-end close processes.

* Support internal and external audits.

* Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and process improvements.

* Mentor and develop accounting team members.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

* 5+ years of accounting experience, with prior public accounting experience preferred.

* Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

* Experience managing accounting staff and delegating responsibilities.

* Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience /Skills for the Accounting Manager:

* Experience in manufacturing accounting.

* Familiarity with ERP systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
