Career Staffing Talent (CST) has partnered with an investment company located in downtown West Palm Beach to recruit a driven and motivated
Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable
to join their accounting team. This position requires working onsite five days a week.

The accounting team is small and fosters a family-like environment.
You will report directly to an excellent supervisor who is also a great mentor
. In this role, you will be able to learn and will play a crucial part in the financial reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment disbursements.
  • Initiate and process wire transfers and ACH transactions in compliance with internal controls and banking policies.
  • Maintain vendor records, ensure compliance with W-9/1099 requirements, and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Own and improve AP processes, identifying areas for efficiency, automation, and better workflow practices.
  • Collaborate closely with property accounting, asset management, legal, and treasury teams to support cross-functional initiatives and shared deadlines.
  • Ensure proper GL coding and accruals for period-end closes and support the accounting team during audits and reporting cycles.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, reconciliations, and analysis as needed.
  • Be flexible and responsive to last-minute requests, including urgent payments and executive-level needs.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; real estate or REIT experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in AP systems and accounting software; experience with Quickbooks or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls, particularly in a multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
  • Salary is $65,000 to $80,000 based on experience.
