We are Bierman Autism Centers seeking a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-12 with autism or other developmental and language delays. Our approach focuses on natural play and teaching foundational skills like self-advocacy and communication, helping each child shine.

PROPEL is our career advancement program designed to elevate Behavior Technicians. It provides pathways to become a Team Lead and potentially a BCBA or other leadership roles. Eligibility for merit increases, plus ongoing feedback and coaching, are included.
Who is this role great for?- Ideal for those pursuing education in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences, or those with daycare/preschool, paraprofessional, DSP, nanny, or related experience and a love for working with kids.
Recruiters with experience as Behavior Technicians will reach out to schedule a 30-minute virtual interview. You will then be invited to an onsite interview at your local Bierman center, with a chance to shadow a current Behavior Technician to learn more about the role.
Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician- Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients
- Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans
- Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding progress (with guidance from the BCBA)
- Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials
- Maintain and acquire knowledge through required trainings
- Follow BACB guidelines
- Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), if not already
- Foster a positive working environment with good vibes
Behavior Technician (RBT) Basic &
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to lift and carry clients weighing at least 30 pounds
- Must be willing to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan
- Must be able to assume and maintain various postures for extended periods
- Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing
- Must have manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communications
- Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files
- Must be able to work long hours at a desk or on the floor
- Must be able to assemble, clean and maintain therapy space
- Must be able to administer medication to clients
Behavior Technician (RBT)
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Detail oriented
- Flexible and adaptable to team and client needs
- Act with integrity and professionalism
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with children ages 2-12 in classroom, daycare, 1:1 or instructional childcare settings
- Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis principles
