DESCRIPTION

New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) is seeking skilled, experienced, high‑energy Audio and Lighting Technicians as well as General Technicians for our touring educational dance workshops and dance competitions with events in 32 cities nationwide. We have immediate openings to supplement our team through July 2026. This is a fast‑paced opportunity for technical pros who take pride in flawless event execution and can handle the rigors of load‑ins and load‑outs.

Travel occurs weekly from the NYC metropolitan area and all candidates must reside within this area.

The ideal candidates are problem‑solvers who remain calm under pressure and thrive in a collaborative, travel‑heavy environment. This position is ideal for someone with a corporate event or concert background. Additional hours may also available to assist in our shop preparing and packing equipment for the tour and tracking inventory.

NYCDA produces the premier educational Dance Convention National Tour throughout the United States. NYCDA also has a not‑for‑profit component, the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation, which awards college scholarships to dancers and produces two fundraising events a year – Desitny Rising, a dance concert at the Joyce Theater, as well as the annual Chita Rivera Awards.
