Certified Lift Station Tech

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for inspecting the wastewater lift stations. Performs necessary maintenance for the stations.

SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs routine checks on all lift stations; pumps, float switches and controls panels.

• Perform pump maintenance; cleaning and inspecting pumps, check for wear of pumps and parts, lubricate needed parts.

• Cleans wet wells as needed.

• Ensure all float switches function properly.

• Check control panels for electrical issues.

• Records detailed maintenance activities.

• Follows all safety procedures; lockout tag out, confined space, fall risk and emergency response.

• Required to perform manhole inspections to examine the condition of manholes leading to lift station.

• All other tasks as assigned.

WORKER REQUIREMENTS
(education, certifications, experience, etc.)

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)

• Valid Drivers License

• Wastewater lift station experience

• Some electrical knowledge

HOURS/SCHEDULING

• Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

• Saturday and Sunday 7am-11am

• Will be on-call for emergencies

• Overtime as needed;
