Overview

The Center for Children and Families (CFCF) is seeking a passionate and competent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Medical Psychologist for a part-time, hybrid role in West Monroe, LA. This position provides direct medical service to children and families seeking Medication Management through The Hope Center. The duties include clinical evaluation, prescribing medication, and ordering, performing, and interpreting medical and psychological tests within their scope of practice.

Pay Rate: $150.00 - $295.00 per hour

Qualifications
  • Advanced Practice Nursing Degree or a Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Certification as a PMHNP or licensure as a Medical Psychologist in Louisiana
  • Telehealth experience preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities
  • Knowledge and understanding of word processing programs, Excel, Outlook, and ability to utilize electronic health records/practice management systems
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to organize files and electronic information
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Commitment to organizational goals and mission
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct medication management appointments for new and established clients
  • Ethically prescribe medication to clients
  • Communicate with PCPs for necessary needs
  • Maintain accurate records in the process of requesting medical records
  • Complete progress notes
  • Be available by phone to clients, collaterals, and coworkers on a consistent basis
  • Update and maintain client records
  • Assist in the running of the CFCF Medication Management Clinic
  • Maintain all confidential information
  • Attend monthly staffings
  • Complete all paperwork in a necessary timely manner
  • Complete weekly invoices
  • Participate in performance evaluations
  • Telephone contact as needed
  • Complete peer-to-peer reviews for medication denials
  • Review weekly psychological evaluations and consult/edit as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
