Maintenance Custodian Associate

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Position Summary:

Are you ready to help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by giving them a positive first and last impression? We are looking for people who take pride in their work to join our team. As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well-kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors. This means you are constantly on your feet and on the go.

Maintaining a positive attitude will ensure customers have a great experience from start to finish.

• Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, adhering to Company steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to Management.
• Cleans all areas of the Facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) following Company procedures and using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash per Company Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintains appropriate levels of Company-approved chemicals and supplies, rotates and stores chemicals properly, and places orders when supplies are running low.
• Maintains a positive attitude and prioritizes member satisfaction to help create a great first and last impression for customers.

• Follow safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; conduct safety sweeps; follow forklift procedures; handle and dispose of hazardous materials; follow company guidelines; report unsafe conditions.
• Clean facilities including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles using approved methods.
• Respond to spills and maintain cleanliness for Members and Associates; operate floor scrubbers; dispose of waste in accordance with the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Ensure chemical and supply levels are adequate; rotate and store chemicals properly; reorder supplies as needed.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Premiums may be paid in addition to base pay under certain conditions.
