general description of position

provides instructional training to clients. Assists clients in acquiring necessary household and communication skills for independent living. Collects performance data and monitors household training programs. Supervises and assists clients in completing day‑to‑day routine household chores and meal management in accordance with long term care regulations.

note: this is a 24‑hour facility; a set schedule is not guaranteed.

schedule: saturday & sunday, 8:00 pm–7:00 am (overnight)

• manages and supervises residents’ active treatment program per their individual program plans and demonstrates necessary skills and techniques.
• collects program data, documents, and provides training instruction.
• completes required icf/iid forms and reports.
• provides care and instruction for all clients in all areas of activities of daily living.
• assists in household cleaning and facility maintenance.
• may be assigned cooking duties, meal preparation, and assistance in dietetic services, serving meals with appropriate social behaviors.
• coordinates menu and food purchases with house manager and consultant dietitian.
• manages client behaviors in a professional manner and demonstrates intervention techniques.
• supervises documentation such as menu changes and temperature logs.
• attends meetings and training sessions as directed.
• transports clients to and from the community.
• performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

high school diploma or ged required. Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval by human resources.

must be able to pass applicable background checks and drug screen. Any offer of employment will be based on the results of background checks and drug screen.

salary: $12.00 – $12.50 per hour
