EiS is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft 365 and cloud transformation expertise to lead and support endtoend modernisation projects for schools, academies, and SMEs. You’ll help customers transition from legacy on premises environments into secure, scalable Microsoft cloud platforms—modernising identity, data, devices, and applications along the way.

This role blends handson technical delivery with project leadership, covering cloud migration, networking, Windows Server administration, endpoint management, and classroom technologies. You’ll work across Entra , Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint/One Drive, Microsoft 365 security, and hybrid identity, acting as a trusted technical expert and 3rdline escalation point. What you’ll be doing

Delivering endtoend cloud migrations, including:

Active Directory → Entra  (hybrid or cloudonly)

File servers → SharePoint Online / One Drive

Applications → Intune packaged deployments

Group Policy → Intune configuration profiles & security baselines

Designing, implementing, and optimising hybrid identity, Conditional Access, and Entra Connect/Cloud Sync configurations.

Building modern endpoint management solutions using Intune, including Autopilot pipelines, device compliance, and endpoint hardening.

Administering and securing Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Defender for Endpoint, and tenant governance.

Infrastructure & Service Delivery

Delivering and supporting on premises and cloud IT solutions across customer sites and remotely.

Leading complex IT and cloud migration projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards.

Conducting site, cloud, and network surveys to inform solution design and proposals.

Providing proactive and reactive 3rdline support, troubleshooting advanced issues across identity, networking, Windows Server, virtualisation, cloud platforms, and user devices.

Supporting curriculum technologies and classroom solutions (touch panels, smartboards, projectors).

Liaising with third party suppliers and contractors to ensure effective service delivery.

Identifying IT risks and recommending mitigation strategies with senior engineers and management.

Producing high quality documentation including runbooks, LLDs, topology diagrams, assessments, incident records, and project updates.

Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to a strong learning culture.

Completing mandatory training in Cyber Security, Risk Management, Data Protection, and cloud technologies.

Undertaking any additional duties reasonably aligned to the role.

What we’re looking for

Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).

2+ years’ experience delivering Microsoft 365 or onpremtocloud migration projects.

Relevant ICT certifications desirable (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Level 3 ICT Diploma, AZ104, MS102/MD102).)
