The Financial Wellness Intern is responsible for working with Financial Counselors creating, coordinating and facilitating educational seminars and classroom presentations. The Financial Wellness Intern must be creative and have the ability present in front of groups concerning various topics of financial literacy. They would also work with members alongside the Financial Counselors with budgeting, rebuilding credit problems quickly and efficiently. Purdue Federal Credit Union is dedicated to fostering the academic and professional growth of interns by providing valuable hands‑on experience.
Through active involvement in meaningful projects and a structured, mentored‑learning environment. Interns have the opportunity to enhance their skills and contribute to the credit union's success.
- Financial Literacy and Education
- Assist the member education team in coordinating and facilitating offsite educational seminars and classroom presentations in our community schools
- Create and write curriculum for schools and PALS camp
- Financial Counseling and Planning
- Gain real world experience while assisting credit counselors with counseling members on budgeting, debt consolidation and rebuilding credit
- Assist management with loss mitigation duties as time permits.
- Must be currently enrolled in college working toward a Bachelor's degree program.
- Must be able to work approximately 10 hours/week during the school year and 30 hours/week during the summer.
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
