West Lafayette Christian Church, aligned with
Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, is seeking a full-time senior
minister to join us in our journey to becoming a family of passionate
people transformed by the love and truth of Jesus. We find our
identity in Christ, build redemptive relationships and prioritize the
mission He gave us–to make disciples of all nations. Our heartbeat
is to worship God authentically, share the hope of Jesus boldly, and
walk alongside one another as we grow in faith and purpose. Through
scripture-centered teaching and the pattern of joyful service, we are
believers who are being equipped to live out the gospel and carry it
forward to future generations.

West Lafayette Christian Church began in 1968, and we have been at our
current location since 1983. We are a multi-generational congregation
located in a residential neighborhood of West Lafayette, Indiana,
adjacent to Purdue University. Our ministry teams are focused on youth
education, youth ministry, college/career adults, women’s ministry,
small groups, worship, outreach, missions and member care. We operate
Sonshine Preschool that enrolls students from a multi-cultural
community.

Salary range and benefits: $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience and
education level

  ministerial duties), attendance at ministry conferences, reference
  materials, cell phone

• lives in a vibrant, personal relationship to Jesus Christ and
  exhibits the character qualities for church leadership described in 1
  Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• preaches/teaches scripture with depth, relevance, and
  gospel-centered focus using an expository approach aligned with the
  Christian Church/Church of Christ (Restoration Movement) history and
  ecclesiology
• nurtures and equips others to live out their calling
• provides pastoral care and counseling across generations

• serves as a member of the eldership participating in
  decision-making, policy formation, pastoral care, and sharing
  accountability for the health, unity and spiritual direction of the
  church
• prepares and delivers sermons at all regular and special worship
  services unless otherwise agreed upon by elders
• provides leadership in developing and supporting ministry team
  leaders and coordinating communications between them
• provides care and counseling to members offering spiritual and
  emotional support
• communicates with sister churches, missions, and para-church
  organizations on matters of mutual concern
